OEC
Engineering Corporation operates under the guiding principle
of service. To its clientele and the community at large OEC
Engineering Corporation is grateful to be part of this great
community; therefore we embrace the opportunity to participate
and give back to the community. We feel that the way to a
better and brighter future for us all is through education
and enlightenment. We have, and we will continue to give of
our time, talent, and capacity to schools and charitable organizations
in our area.
Chantilly
Academy – This is an Engineering School based
in Chantilly HS. Students take a focused course in engineering.
The culmination of one of the tasks is to build a “Battlebot”
for a statewide competition. OEC has provided the academy
with access to our facilities and personnel in order to facilitate
some of the aspects of their project.
Catholic University - Ongoing –
The folks at the Summer School of Architecture are proceeding
with a bold vision of how to teach their students to utilize
modern robotic fabrication techniques. They have enlisted
us to give them our perspective, from an operational paradigm,
in order to show both their students, as well as established
Architects a new way of approaching design.
We have provided
machinery to both of these institutions.
City
Arts – City Arts is a community effort in SE
Washington DC, which seeks to bring together the community,
on a volunteer basis, in order to make a park dedicated to
the late Marvin Gaye. Our contribution was to fabricate some
of the decorative aspects of this venture that would otherwise
have been difficult to fabricate by hand.
If you
are a School, Charitable Organization, or Community Volunteer
Group, we welcome the opportunity to serve you. Feel free
to contact us to discuss your needs. While we are limited
in what we can do, if there is a way for us to assist you,
we will do our best to facilitate that assistance.
