HOOD

OEC planned, fabricated, and installed a 14’ tall x 8’ diameter decorative fireplace hood. These are individual strips, formed and attached to the flue substructure, with the hanging sculpture in the background.

HANGING SCULPTURE

Shown is a hanging sculpture made from ¼” painted acrylic sheets. It is approximately 18’ x 34’, and has over 200 connection points. It is suspended from the ceiling by over 200 connections using heavy clear monofilament. Our means for planning such an audacious installation meant that the installation was completed within 3 days, showing the power of digital fabrication thinking and techniques in the analog world of a construction site.
